The concept of normal school activity and competitions are absent in these schools. The idea behind starting this fest is to make students understand the idea of competitiveness,” Shaikh said. According to a Tata Institute of Social Sciences report, the areas of Govandi, Deonar, Shivaji Nagar and Mankhurd have some of the lowest Human Development Index in Mumbai.
